If you have been around church or Christian circles you may have heard the word "broken".
Broken before the Lord.
Do I understand this, no, but one aspect of it I do, and I think many of us do, is being brokenhearted.
Things didn't work out the way you thought, or someone has betrayed you or left you.
That pain is no fun, sometimes you think a physical injury would be easier to handle.
Here's the cool thing...this was a center piece of Jesus ministry, and it continues today.
He healed many physical ailments to be sure but what did he use as the center scripture of His mission?
The scripture he based his ministry on is Isaiah 61:1 He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.
Psalms says, The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. He cares and he can help it heal.
You can know, that in that pain, God is there to help you heal it, because He said He would.
